늘 무언가를 바라보며 살아갑니다.

본다는 것은 갓 태어난 아이부터 이름 없는 뭇 생명들까지 흔히 지닌 능력이지만,
가만히 되짚어 보면 온전히 닿을 수 없는 먼 곳을 향한 일일지도 모릅니다.

때로는 보이는 것과 보는 것 사이에 깊고도 먼 간극이 존재합니다.

보이는 것 '너머'에 자리한 장면과 시간, 감정, 그리고 그 미묘한 자취를 따라 바라보려 했습니다.

스쳐 지나가는 풍경 속에 머무르는 순간들,
익숙한 장면 속에 숨겨진 낯선 결을 따라가며
'시선'이 미처 닿지 않았던 그 너머를 보고 싶은 바람을 담았습니다.

이번 작품들은 바라봄에 대한 질문이자,
그 너머를 향한 작은 사유와 상상의 조각입니다.

잠시 삶의 걸음을 늦추어,
서로의 시선과 또 다른 '너머'를 나누는 시간이 되기를 바랍니다.

* Beyond the View

We live our lives, always looking at something.

To see is an ability shared by all living beings, from a newborn child to the nameless lives that dwell upon the earth.
Yet, upon quiet reflection, it may be an act that reaches toward a distant place we can never fully attain.

At times, there exists a deep and distant gap between what is seen and what it means to see.

I sought to follow and behold the scenes, moments, emotions, and subtle traces that lie beyond the visible.

Lingering moments within passing landscapes,
traces of unfamiliar textures hidden within familiar scenes?
they hold a quiet longing to see what lies beyond,
that which the gaze has not yet reached.

These are both a question about the act of seeing
and small fragments of thought and imagination directed toward what lies beyond.

May this be a moment to slow the pace of life,
and to share our ways of seeing, along with that other "beyond."
